B2B eCommerce Price App

Manage complex pricing structures and maintain consistency across sales channels with the pricing app.

What is the Price App?

The Price App is a pricing management system

In modern architectures, it is usually implemented as a microservice – i.e. an autonomous, independently implemented service that performs one, precisely defined business function (in this case, handling complex pricing logic).

Price Application and B2B Sales

This tool centralizes and automates the company's entire pricing policy. It ensures that every B2B customer (and not only them) sees the exact price assigned to them – conveniently, efficiently, and without errors or manual work.

Precise control of the price assigned to the customer

Even if you operate with individual prices, this eliminates the situation in which the only source of knowledge about commercial terms is the account manager, who keeps key arrangements, for example, in a private Excel file, instead of in a transparent, centralized system with advanced mechanics of permissions for editing and viewing prices.

Tool configuration tailored to individual needs

The Pricing application isn't a closed product – it's a tool built for specific needs. We can customize both the pricing logic and the integration with company systems to ensure the application supports the exact scenarios that actually occur in the sales process.

Who is the Price App for?

The Pricing app is designed for B2B companies that need a precise tool for large-scale pricing management. It's particularly suitable for:

Manufacturing and distribution companies

Who need to effectively manage a wide range of products and dynamic pricing conditions,

Wholesalers and sales networks

For them, quick response to competitive actions and effective price management for various customer groups are crucial.

B2B eCommerce systems

They are now required to be not only flexible but also fast. Customers need to see their individual prices immediately—without delays or loading times—which is technically possible thanks to our dedicated Price App.

How does the Price App work?

The Price Management Application (i.e., the pricing management system) eliminates fundamental barriers in B2B eCommerce —from slow data downloads and inefficient ERP management to information chaos—by creating a central repository (Master Data Source) that guarantees instant individual price calculations and their full availability for every sales channel. Its operation is based on three pillars:

01
Modern connection architecture

Instead of querying the ERP system for prices each time, our engine acts as an intermediary, receiving data from the ERP system asynchronously (reacting to price changes). A B2B eCommerce platform connected to the Price Application (e.g., Sellina) receives live prices from the Price Application, ensuring they are always up-to-date and transmitted instantly.

This solves the biggest problem of eCommerce systems: the low efficiency of handling multiple prices for multiple customers simultaneously. For example, a store offering 150,000 products and 9000 active customers (assuming each has some form of individual pricing) would need to calculate and process at least 1,350,000,000 (one billion, three hundred and fifty million!) prices. Our calculations do not include the possibility of creating price lists based on the number of products purchased or additional discounts for purchasing a selected combination of products – each of these conditions multiplies the number of prices that must be processed in the B2B system. The Price Application has no limitations in this regard.

02
Proprietary price calculation mechanism

ERP systems typically don't store pre-defined, individual prices for each customer. They must calculate them on the fly, a slow and resource-intensive process. Our Pricing Application uses a proprietary, optimized algorithm that performs these calculations in fractions of a second, even for billions of combinations (tens of thousands of products and individual price lists).

03
Independence from the limitations and chaos of ERP systems

Different ERP systems have different API standards and often lack a universal and fast way to communicate. We free you from this challenge. We implement a dedicated microservice that operates independently of the ERP, "translating" complex pricing rules and displaying them in your online store in a fraction of a second, regardless of the technology your sales system uses.

As a result, your B2B eCommerce operates at maximum efficiency and every customer sees the right price immediately.

Using the Price Application in a B2B trading system

The Price Application can play two roles – it can process prices from ERP (or other) systems or it can be a completely independent source for creating pricing policies.

01
The role of the relay

In this case, prices received from the ERP system (or rules creating prices, such as discounts) are transferred to the Pricing Application, and then a ready price list is created based on them and sent to the B2B platform.

02
Source – the place where pricing policy is created

In turn, the application interface allows you to create prices directly on the Price Application side – the user can import purchase prices and automatically recalculate them with a margin/markup to the sales price, and can also set prices for groups of customers or manage individual prices for a single contractor.

Companies using multiple sales channels

If you sell products on a website, in marketplaces (e.g. Allegro, Amazon) or on social media platforms, PIM will ensure data consistency across each of these channels.

Brands building their advantage on the quality of product content

In industries like fashion, electronics, and manufacturing, customers expect detailed and engaging product information. Magento's integration with PIM allows for the creation of rich product descriptions and the management of technical specifications and attributes in one place.

Implementing the Pricing Application – business and functional benefits

Beyond efficiency, the pricing management system, i.e. the Price Application, delivers specific business benefits and extends capabilities that are often missing in standard ERP systems.

Full independence and security for the future

Imagine that in a few years you decide to change your ERP system. In a traditional model, this would mean a massive project of recreating the entire, complex pricing logic in the new environment. Our system completely decouples your pricing policy from the ERP. This gives you the freedom to choose the best technology for your company, and any future migration becomes radically simpler, faster, and less expensive.

One central place to manage pricing for your entire team

Our engine becomes for your company what PIM is for products – the single, reliable source of truth about pricing. Instead of searching for information in a cumbersome ERP system, your salespeople gain convenient access to all price lists and terms of sale in one place, even on mobile devices. This speeds up quote preparation and eliminates the risk of costly errors.

Advanced pricing features

Want to assign a special price to one customer for one specific product? Most ERP systems make this nearly impossible without creating thousands of separate price lists. Our system makes it possible. This gives you a powerful tool for precisely personalizing your offerings and implementing advanced sales strategies. You gain a competitive advantage that can't be easily replicated.

How to prepare for the implementation of the Price Application?

Analysis of the company's needs and expected business goals

Accurate identification of the pricing policy existing in the organization, diagnosis of the price-setting mechanisms used on the system side (e.g. ERP), verification of how often and to what extent prices change.

Diagnosis of available integration methods

Verifying whether the ERP system has an API enabling pricing and assessing its performance. Contacting the ERP system manager for a quote on potential API expansion. Analyzing available off-the-shelf integration solutions.

Involvement of the implementation team

Designate project managers with extensive knowledge of the organization's pricing process. Involve departments responsible for the ERP system.

Integration of the Pricing Application with other company systems

The pricing management system (Pricing Application) can be easily integrated with existing ERP, CRM and eCommerce platforms, ensuring smooth data exchange and process consistency.

Since its launch, the Cen App supports integration with Magento, but it is possible to integrate it with any eCommerce platform, e.g. Prestashop, Sylius, Shopify, Sap Commerce Cloude, Medusa JS.

The integration process includes thorough planning, implementation and ongoing technical support that ensures maximum efficiency and effectiveness of the company's entire IT ecosystem.

We provide support at every stage of integration and the ability to adapt processes to the specific needs of the company.

The Cen application has its own documented API.
